The University of Sheffield Nigeria Merit Postgraduate scholarships are for Nigerians with excellent academic potential who wish to study for a postgraduate degree at the University in September 2013. The University of Sheffield is one of the UK’s leading Universities and has produced five Nobel Prize winners in history. Many of its alumni have gone on to hold positions of great responsibility and influence around the world.

Any taught masters course (eg MA, MSc) which is offered at the university
To be eligible for the Nigeria Merit Postgraduate Scholarships 2013 (£7,000), applicants must be a Nigerian national or permanently domiciled in Nigeria, apply for a study place by Friday 21 June 2013 and hold an offer of a study place for entry in September 2013.
The Nigeria Merit Postgraduate Scholarships 2013 (£7,000) are awarded on the basis of academic merit.

How with the Scholarship be Paid:
Each scholarship is worth £7,000 of your postgraduate taught masters degree tuition fee per year, for one year of study. The scholarships will take the form of a tuition fee reduction.

Eligible students will automatically be sent details of how to apply from January 2013 onwards. Please note that applicants cannot apply for the scholarship before being offered a study place at Sheffield.
The deadline for applications is Friday 28 June 2013 and results will be announced by Friday 26 July 2013.
