Automatic Undergraduate Scholarships for Nigerian Students, University of Sheffield UK 2013

The University of Sheffield is  one of the UK’s leading Universities and were named UK University of the Year in the 2011 Times Higher Education Awards. The University is offering a range of automatic scholarships to students from Nigeria who show exceptional academic potential and wish to  study for selected programmes at the University of Sheffield in September 2013/2014 academic year.

The scholarships  are as follows:

Nigeria Management Scholarships 2013

Description: The Nigeria Management Scholarships is for Nigerians who wish to apply for undergraduate studies in the Management School in September 2013.

  • The scholarships are worth £1,500 per year each

Eligibility and Award Criteria:

  • You must hold an offer of a study place and begin your undergraduate studies in September 2013 in the Management School.
  • You must be self-funding and classified as overseas for tuition fee purposes.
  • The scholarships will be awarded automatically – no application is required in first or subsequent years.
  • The scholarships will be awarded unconditionally in the first year of studies. Award in subsequent years of study is subject to the achievement of 60% overall average mark.
  • The scholarships will take the form of a tuition fee reduction.

Social Science International Scholarships 2013

The Social Science Scholarships are for Nigerians who wish to apply for undergraduate  studies in September 2013 in any of the following departments: East Asian Studies, Economics, Education, Geography, Information School, Journalism, Politics, Sociological Studies, Town and Regional Planning.

The scholarships are worth £1,500 per year each.

Eligibility and Award Criteria:

•You must hold an offer of a study place and begin your undergraduate studies in September 2013 in any of the departments listed above.
•You must be self-funding and classified as overseas for tuition fee purposes.
•The scholarships will be awarded automatically – no application is required in first or subsequent years.
•The scholarships will be awarded unconditionally in the first year of studies. Award in subsequent years of study is subject to the achievement of 60% overall average mark.
•The scholarships will take the form of a tuition fee reduction.

None of the above scholarships requires any special application. Once you are a Nigerian and you hold a place in any of the already mentioned courses, you are automatically awarded the scholarship.
